# Await Poll

> Pauses the task for a fixed interval, then auto-resumes so the agent can poll an external system again.

Pauses the task for a fixed interval, then auto-resumes so the agent can poll an external system again. Display name **"Await Poll"**. Off by default.

## Authentication and enablement

No integration. Off by default. Creates a `task_await` (`source_type` poll).

## Inputs

* `poll_interval_minutes` (required): 1–1440.
* `poll_reason` (required): what you are waiting for (shown in the feed).
* `max_duration_hours` (optional): stop re-polling after this; default 720 (30 days).
* `context_details` (optional): notes for the agent on resume.
* `poll_session_id` (optional): pass back on later calls to keep one session; auto-generated if omitted.

## Output

`{status, await_id, poll_session_id, scheduled_resume_at, poll_interval_minutes, max_duration_hours}`. The task pauses until the timer fires.

## Limits and side effects

* Interval cap 24h per wait; total duration cap 30 days by default.
* Skip-from-UI marks the await `skipped`.

## Expected errors

* Interval out of range.
* Missing `poll_reason`.
