Reads rows from a Smartsheet with optional column filters. Display name “Read Smartsheet”. Off by default.

Authentication and enablement

Requires a workspace Smartsheet OAuth integration. access_token is injected. Enable the tool and bind the integration. Unlike update_smartsheet, sheet_id is an LLM-visible required argument.

Inputs

  • sheet_id (required): numeric sheet ID.
  • match_criteria (optional): {column, value, operator?} list, AND-combined. Operators: eq (default), neq, gt/lt/gte/lte, contains.
  • return_columns (optional): header names; omit for all columns. Names resolve with fuzzy fallback.
  • matching_strategy — for eq only: exact (default, case-insensitive) or fuzzy.

Matching rows (selected columns).

Limits and side effects

  • Read-only.
  • Numeric operators only make sense on numeric columns.

Expected errors

  • Missing access token or sheet_id.
  • Column that cannot be resolved.
  • Smartsheet API error.
