Reads profit center master data from API_PROFITCENTER_SRV (A_ProfitCenter, expanding to_PrftCtrCompanyCodeAssignment and to_Text). Display name “SAP Read Profit Centers”. Off by default.

Authentication and enablement

Requires a workspace SAP integration. Connection fields are injected. Enable the tool and bind the integration.

Language

language is a configured-tool binding (not an LLM argument), defaulting to EN; the tool picks that language’s text from to_Text.

Inputs

  • controlling_area (required) — e.g. A000.
  • profit_centers (optional) — list of specific profit center IDs.
  • max_results (optional) — default 100, capped at 100; a capped read adds a truncation note so “not in the list” is not read as “does not exist”.
The structured result can be stored as a task variable (store_result_as_variable, a configured-tool binding, on by default) so an agent can pass it to the next tool as ${VAR_N} instead of re-typing rows.

Output

structuredContent.profit_centers summarises each (profit_center, name, company_codes); structuredContent.data carries the full response including the company-code assignments. IsError is set on any failure.

Validation Status

Provisional — verified live against s4h-2022 (2026-10-13). Not yet validated against a customer production connection.

Errors

Missing integration, an empty controlling_area, or an SAP error return IsError: true with the SAP message.
